Annoyingly, I paused the recording and missed bits out, which is a shame, as it was easy more than 10 miles…
And now with added padded shorts….
So it seems we are back on it then, and aiming to get out every night. Tonight was a quick jaunt around to the local parks, keeping off the road if we can.
Just need to keep it up as they say….

They fly so high, nearly reach the sky, Then like my dreams they fade and die. Fortune’s always hiding, I’ve looked everywhere.
So Covid is still with us R is less than one, so there is more relaxation and now we’ve got a concept of bubbles. Social groups in same cases where people can help each other. I hope, that as ever, the public continue to behave (which in general they really have done) and the lid is kept on this thing as much as we can. Talking to a few people the bubble is giving is giving hope and happiness, so let’s go with it.
In my little world, the two of us continue to work away – me from home, her part home/hospital. We’ve continued to do shopping for the parents, but I think the team is now right to back that off, pending another wave. If it is, we will then do what we can.
That’s it for now, hope you like the new theme, I’ve gone basic a bit.
Cheers

The goal for this week was to make it to South Shields and back…. We did it!
So it’s good to be able to report that we made it, South Shields and back and no one got hurt! But I am tired, and my butt hurts…. Eva says her new saddle is great so that’s one less thing for her to worry about. It became clear in the middle of the week that this would be achieveable to so its great that we did.
The weather tried to conspire against us, but again we managed to miss the rain, and the hail… but we did seek shelter at one point…. The park has a small railway and the station was a good place to keep dry!
This photo was taken just before the heavens opened, as we’d relocated from park benches!
So the route then…
So glad that we did it, but tired now!
Catch you laters.
Sorry for the Jimmy Nail…..
So that’s another bike ride complete, as we map our way around Hebburn and Jarrow. At the start of the week, I thought about we might make it to South Shields by the end of the week 10 mile (ish) return. I thought it would be a push but it seems not.
Electric is making all the difference, and for the past two days its been 6 miles, and its been ok. Today with the wind was more of an effort, but we are just in week one.
