Store? Shed? Hoop?

This is harder than it should be!

So I’ve already posted about the bike, and I might have mentioned its bigger than I expected, bigger to the extent it doesnt work well in my shed! I’ve been looking at storage and its no fun. Nothing really works, so I’ve ended up with another shed.

I’d prefered something different, but it will have to do. I even went for a ride to the park to pop the bike next the bike store I liked and nope, not even close.

Another Week…

So, I find my self sat here for another week of working from home and my mind has gone off on a little wander. Now, its not because there is nothing to do, far from it.

Whilst the image is representative, it’s definetly not true. No Mac, No clear desk, no coffee… no plant… the list goes on.

But, it’s meant to represent working from home, which is the well and truely the new norm and it continues to the be the case, with no real end in sight. Best guess now, for me, September or later as not essential and I can work from home, but there would need to be changes, like moving upstairs etc to work. I would like the dining table back I think!

But, to be fair, its been a workable solution to two of us working from home and its ok. But it will probably move on.

Cycling continues this past week and extended the range I’ve been doing with each new ride which is pleasing. I shall continue to build from the starting point and see where it goes. The other half has now also purchased a bike to so we will be able to go out for a wander together soon.

Enough for one day.

Cheers

That was a bit windy….

So it was a bit windier out there than i expected, but todays ride was to the parents and back. Navigation care of Google Maps, took me an unexpected route, but it avoided roads etc, and was more fun that I expected.

First attempt at Strava too…. I was king of the mountain until it caught i was on an E-bike

Looking at the above think there is more in Strava, so I might not us Relive again

Time for exercise….

So if you’ve read my previous messages, you will now know that I own a bike, and am trying to do exercise.

So voila, here is the latest ride:

Ride 2 – Jarrow

So still a work in progress, but its getting better… Relive is a 30 day trial, no idea if i am going to pay for it…. its £3 a month or so…. Any thoughts?

Lastly, it’s still mid pandemic here, so stay safe, maintain that social distancing and get that fresh air!

Cheers

So, I read people have given up….

On staying clean and deodorant, and it made me think…

But before we go there, remember stay home, stay safe and protect your health services where ever you may be. There is talk of lifting the Corona / Covid-19 isolation/stay at home, but lets not all rush out there at once and then run the risk of a second, third or fourth wave. We’ve in the main done well and kept safe, don’t mess that up now…. please.

So where were we? That’s right I’d read that many people have given up on staying clean, showering, deodorant etc as they were not in work. Whilst I initially laughed it off, I then thought, oh actually there is some truth in this. 2 days since the last shower, recycled tshirt…. oh dear god what savage have I become?

So I hit the shower hard today, getting to all those hard to reach places! I even used the moisturising shower gel that leaves the bath extra, extra slippery. This will do no doubt come back to hurt me later when I slip in fall. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’ve not become some “stinking hobo” over night, and apologies to those hobos who don’t smell, but some times social isolation does funny things…..

For the rest of the day, it’s house work and tidy up, whilst the gammon slow cooks for the next 4 hours…. its already been in for the same.

Catch you laters.
