bagWeekend break coming up soon, and a quick flight across to Spain. However, adding luggage makes such a difference as they want £39 a bag to go in the hold. Just a weekend so it really necessary? Trying something different I shall brave hand luggage only and to assist with this and future trips I’ve gone for a new bag. Care of Amazon, but others retailers are available, and thanks to a work incentive of a Amazon gift voucher, I’ve gone for a Cabin Max bag. 40L of storage and less than 700g. All being well this should allow enough space for the belongings for a week end.

In related news, it should be a good weekend as its an all inclusive resort. I may have a pint or two….but not too much as i still want to be insured!

Another busy Thursday…

steedentouchAnother busy week this Thursday at touch rugby. Just short of the magic 20 until same late comers pushed us over the edge so we managed some 5 v5 for a bit. Nice to see a couple of new people come along inculding some durham university students. We’ve offered to pass their details around to help them build a club there. Additionally they asked about referees courses and its always good to get more people interested in tat.

At work been busy with some APR work needing done along with a chat with the boss to review the year. Its always hard to talk about how its gone, and invariably comparing your self to others, even when it has nothing to do with that. A frustration includes being expected to do more, when we all have the same job, but i wouldnt not want to do the best i could..

Tomorrow we’ve got meet the new guys as we work with our new trainees, so must be there on time!

So that means bed…

Oh no more price increase….

Its getting tougher as they years by, as salaries (as far as I know) clearly are not keeping up with the changes (read increases) we see in the house hold bills.

A handy graph from the good folk at the BBC shows this rather well:

Thanksfully for the parents, they are on a fixed rate deal so this insulated them quite nicely for the next two years, but i hate to consider the increase after that – ouch. For my self, time will tell what Sainsbury Energy do, as I am with them. But, as they are British Gas in disguise, I suspect I will suffer the same….

So at the weekend, time to dig out the warm clothing as it starts to get expensive heating the house! Or someone give me some cash?????

Le Creuset, my addiction, I just shouldn’t go into the shop….

So following on from the christening at the weekend, I went for a wander around the Royal Quays Outlet Shopping Centre. Usual outlet shopping with some pretty standard shops. But, there is a Le Creuset outlet, and its my downfall. Whenever i go in there, I never escape without buying something. Always useful, Always expensive.

I’ve been building up a collection over the years, and its all different colours, shapes and sizes but i do like it. This weeks bargain was a fruit bowl. Now indeed, i’ve wanted a fruit bowl for a while and its something i would use a lot as there is always fruit about the place.  So, in the clearance, a fruit bowl. Yeah!

Another new colour to add to the mix, but there was something that could my eye on the box.

Now its a small image but i think clicking on it should make it larger i hope, but you need to be looking at the right hand side where you see a lovely little thermometer. Check out the range!

Now i am not sure what they had planned ,but i cant ever imagine ever needing a fruit bowl that would work to such extremes, well indeed it just seems extreme! Ahhh yes that fruit looks warm lets plonk it in the freeze or indeed, no it looks cold lets bung it in the oven for half an hour. No?

I think not too.

I am sure someone out there will have an explanation for this, I just dont!
